Each session gets you 4xp to spend on improving your character. You can spend it as follows:

Note that you must buy every dot of a new merit, so a •••-dot merit would cost 2+4+6=12 XP. On the other hand going from Resources •• to Resources ••• would only cost 6xp.

Practical XP

Current Practical XP: 13

Encountering new monsters, resolving threats and working as a team earns you Practical XP. This is pooled with the rest of the group, and has three uses:

  • One point can be spent to refresh a character’s willpower – the character rolls Resolve + Composure and gains 1 WP per success.
  • It can be used to buy Skills, Merits and Endowments, with the group’s permission.
  • It can be used to buy group Tactics, enabling you to work together against monsters.
